DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Very minor fitting for SA Ronin. Very solid unit for a dedicated lefty admittedly I was not crazy about the idea of the adjustable hammer pin but mine came with a solid pin and fit perfectly Planning on replacing the Swenson style in my SA loaded
Fitting of this product was exceptional. Few file strokes necessary for perfect sear engagement. Design is better than any other ambi 1911 safety on the market. Locked together and literally can not come apart.
This Ambi safety was super easy to install in my Kimber Compact CDP II. No filing required it was a drop in fit. I replaced the original because the right side lever broke while shooting at the range. Down side of bulletproof parts are the price.... but it has a LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! I also had the option to replace the part with a cheaper one but I do not want this part to fail in a real life event.
The safety dropped right in, no fitting. The hammer pin was easier than I thought. I didnt have to do any filing. I just put the pin in, without the hammer, and then backed out the screw until the left hand safety, without the right hand safety, worked freely. I then took the pin back out, loosened it a little, and applied lock tight. I then put it back to where it was, wiped it off, and rechecked the fit. When I saw it was ok, I took off the safety and let it set overnight.
I have purchased two of the Bulletproof Tactical Ambi Safeties for my 1911 handguns. Both went on without issue and fit great. The first one has been in use on a Remington R1 now for at least six years and thousands of rounds with zero issues. As a lefty having a reliable safety is the greatest improvement to the 1911 that I've experienced. I've had other styles and brands but these are major improvement. I won't use any other.
As a wrong handed person getting into 1911s I decided to try this safety. I am very satisfied with it. I have not tried the other Wilson ambi safety, however I have tried another brand with the pin on style and it was junk compared to this one. The pin that holds the right side safety on is adjustable. So you can take any wobble out of it very easily. Only bad thing I can say is that make sure you polish the back side of the safety BEFORE trying to fit it. I didn’t read that far in the instructions and rubbed my frame a good bit during the fitting process. Not a huge deal to me but still doesn’t look the best. I polished it up once it was fit and the rubbing doesn’t to appear to have got any worse. That was my bad though. The tactical levers one is also perfect for Conceal Carry I think, not to big but plenty of real estate to disengage easily. Jason Burton also has a good video on YouTube about fitting the safety. Overall I’m very satisfied and will buy another.
Install in my SR1911 was a breeze. Smooth positive feeling engagement/disengagement. There was minimal file work to fit the left side, and the hammer pin replacement setup was super simple to fit the right side. Pin replacement is a unique and novel idea similar to the ambi safety hammer pin used on the Sig 238/938. Want a quality ambi safety for your 1911, look no further.
I forgot to mention. Im not a gunsmith. I just checked some videos on YouTube. I did the instalation of this thumb safety without prior experience.
This Ambi safety was a sinch to install in my Springfield Armory TRP Tactical. No filing required it was a drop in fit. I like this better than the factory safety because its lean and mean !
