The progressive nose geometry of this bullet allows for deep, straight penetration while creating a permanent wound cavity diameter exceeding that of most expanding bullets. This bullet is optimal for use in 9mm Luger and .38 Super loads.

This mantra has led us to introduce a unique and innovative product, the Xtreme Penetrator Fluid Transfer Monolithic (XP FTM) product line, for both handgun and rifles. The progressive nose geometry allows for deep, straight penetration while creating a permanent wound cavity diameter exceeding that of most expanding bullets. To top it off, the bullet is solid copper and is able to overcome barriers to penetration, is environmentally friendly and VERY target unfriendly. Penetrating barriers such as drywall or heavy clothing prior to impacting the intended target doesn’t have the potentially negative effect on the Xtreme Defense that it does to conventional hollow point bullets.

The magic happens with the nose design where the Fluid Transfer’s radial flutes force the hydraulic energy inward and then as the energy is restricted, it accelerates outward creating high pressure spikes severely damaging surrounding tissue. This very rapid increase in fluid flow creates cavitation and massive tissue damage away from the projectile equivalent to those of the best hollow points on the market. This results in a permanent wound cavity that is two to four times greater than what a flat or round nose bullet generates and often larger than traditional or solid copper expanding bullets. What you get is a hunting or special application self defense bullet that creates a larger permanent wound cavity coupled with exceptionally deep penetration.

    Mine is not a review, but rather a question. There's a lot of talk of how RN bullets run the risk of exiting the intended target, say a center mass shot, and hitting someone behind, whereas a hollow point doesn't. These bullets look wicked, but I'd like the answer to my question. (I'm probably going to buy 100 anyway.)

    Attended a day time and low light class with these. We had the opportunity to shoot through vehicles and windshields. These are no joke. Through a Windshield EVERYTHING deflects some, some ammo much more than others. We setup a target and every individual shot through the windshield at the same spot to measure the deflection. These were hands down the best performer. I have them in my edc and will not go back to anything else.

    But we need two versions. I think its great to make the bullet available in qty, of 100 and a bit more cost effective. But if I buy 100 in 9mm and 100 in 10mm by the time all is said and done I will have .62 or more cents in one bullet. Makes it kinda hard to use for target practice. They need a target version similar to HAP. If they skip the flutes that would save time and material. They need to consider pkg. of 500 or at min 250. They could even consider a less expensive % of copper if possible. It should be a flat nose. IT should be more accurate than a copper plated slug to justify triple the price. Easier said then done I know.

    The extreme penetraters are the best personal defense projectiles on the market bar none. I've done a huge amount of testing using several different mediums and methods and no other 9mm projectiles even come close. Loaded to 1400 fps out of my 3.5 inch carry they perform more like a .357mag than any other 9mm I've ever found. I highly recommend these projectiles to anyone
