    great barrel

    Posted by Daren47 on Oct 19th 2024

I've owned 2 WC barrels, a 6mm arc and a 224 Valkyrie. 2 of the most accurate ar barrels I've ever owned. The 6mm arc is .75" or better easily. Would definitely buy another WC barrel

    Amazing Long Range Performance

Posted by Erik on Sep 16th 2024

2610 fps muzzle velocity with Hornady ELD Match ammo, and at yesterday's trip to the range consistently hit a 5" plate at 700 yards, then streched out to 900 yards with good hits on steel . This barrel is crazy accurate and dissipates heat very well. I was initially concerned about the shorter barrel length's ability to "reach out and touch someone" at longer distances, but Wilson really hit a home run with this barrel.

1/2 MOA Out of the Box

I used this to build an AR Upper, using Wilson components (hand guard, muzzle brake, gas block) and a BCM upper receiver. Besides everything fitting perfectly, the accuracy is amazing. Using Hornady 108gr Match ammo it produced less than half inch groups at 100 yards, muzzle velocity averaging 2600 fps. Great job guys!

    great barrel

Posted by Phill on Aug 18th 2024

I bought this barrel when it was on sale, and it's one of the better buys I've had for the AR-15 platform. I'm an avid handloader, target shooter, and occasional hunter. (Whitetail, in Michigan). It's a lighter profile barrel, with fluting, and with a recessed crown so it's a light, rough and tumble barrel, great for still hunting. I used a 20x scope, and it's not hard to get groups that are 1/2 MOA or better - the lighter profile means you can't do long strings of fire. My only complaint with the barrel was that the gas port had a metal burr that I had to remove before use. Otherwise, it was a beautiful barrel.

    WC 6mm ARC

Posted by D. Hicks on Jun 4th 2024

Built my first gas gun from the ground up. Except for the stock and grip ( actually WC by BCM ) it's all Wilson Combat. This is the 18" Tactical Hunter in 6mm ARC with intermediate gas tube. Superb rifle. I find when one sticks to manufacture recommended parts there isn't any drilling, filing or chiseling involved. MOA accuracy to 200yds in an Oklahoma wind. That as far as I've gotten to take it.

Phenomenal accuracy and top tier fit & finish

Posted by John T Smith on Dec 17th 2023

I own several Wilson Combat barrels. I have found all of them to be defect free with fit finish and function that’s flawless. I found this 6mm arc barrel to be sub MOA with all lids o have tested. During break in the first 100-120 rounds showed some signs of pressure and where chrono’ed at well above what I expected. 2,700-2,600fps with factory 105gr bthp. The barrel continued to break in and drop speed down to levels I was expecting. This barrel is gassed properly and could be considered a bit hot to be able to cycle light bullets and loads. With 300rds through this build I am averaging .3/4-7/8moa. velocities are around 2,550fps for 105gr bthp and this is as I expected. Headspace with my bolt is .002” from the low side of saami. With a fresh build please take your time and break the barrel in. Do not start adjusting, drilling, or changing things until you go through a break in period. You will not be disappointed! This barrel is a great weight for all around. I would love if Wilson would offer a slightly heavier profile with a 20” length.

    6mm arc hunter tactical barrel

Posted by Steve on Nov 25th 2023

Purchased a 6mm arc hunter tac barrel and 6.5 grendal polished bcg from WC , with hornady 105 black ammo , shot a 1.25" group at 100 yards, now the scope I used is a leupold 1.5-4x20 pig plex covered the bulls eye (1" orange dot) I'm sure I could have shot a tighter group ,but for a hunting rifle , I'M HAPPY

Gas port undersized, but a beautiful piece of kit

Posted by John B on Oct 17th 2023

I got this to replace an 18" rifle length Ballistic Advantage barrel that was a mediocre shooter, and as i did with the BA, i had to open the gas port to get it to run. The Wilson barrel came at .076" and to get it to run with a carbine buffer and sprinco white spring, i had to open it with the next size bit i had which was .094". It would actually cycle 2 or more rounds at that point. Found it odd that it still spat spent cases out just fine but would not feed the second round with anything from a carbine buffer with sprinco white on one lower to up to a A5H3 with Geissele Super 42 on another (i adjusted the weight to under an A5H1 with 3 steel weights and one aluminum), as it came from the factory. I finished by opening it to .103" for my A5H3 buffer setup and it feeds and locks back now. Not sure why the ports are so small on 6 ARC barrels. That took till after dark, so i havent been able to test accuracy yet. Thank the Lord for country living.
