I am a lefty and decided to install myself on a Springfield TRP Operator Tactical Full Rail. No issues at all, very positive click on/off on both sides. Overall very happy with the purchase.
Honestly at first this safety was not my first choice it was supposed to be their tactical ambi safety but it was and still is sold out so I bought this one and at first as the description says it all wide lever ambi safety which is obviously wider than the tactical one but I was very impressed by how it looks on my springfield mc operator adds a unique and personal touch to it i also changed the sear and hammer ect........Wilson Combat bullet proof products are number one in my book!!! Quality at its finest
Don't balk at the price, it's worth it. Comfortable wide levers, nearly drop-in fitting that only took me a few swipes with a file to get perfect, pristine finish, and doesn't require an ambi-cut grip panel. I should thank Springfield Armory for giving me such a badly-fit factory safety that I had to get this, it's so much better.
I am a lefties and put this wide ambi thumb safety in a Tisas Duty 5 in 1911. Very minor filing needed to make it fit. Basically this ambi thumb safety just went right in. Positive feel with the safety plunger. The width of the right lever is ideal.
Bought this safety for a Dan Wesson 38 super guardian. Had three dumbass gunsmiths say that they’d either have to notch the right side of the slide or cut the grip down to deconflict the engage position. All were wrong. This fit with no additional mods. Now I can carry lefty with a crisp flip of the lever. Slight mismatch in coating but barely noticeable. Would rather have the flexibility as a southpaw. Still doesn’t print when under shirt. Bottom line: low cost high quality functional upgrade
Installed this my self, my first one and was a bit apprehensive but had zero problems, just go slow and be patient. I had to have mine painted black by Wilson and it had a bit of lead time but was worth the wait.
Im a lefty and Im hard on ambi safeties.this is the most rock solid ambi safety Ive ever seen. It does not work loose. Period. If you run a ambi safety, you need this one.
