The Wilson Combat Bulletproof extractor for the .45 ACP 1911 is the highest quality extractor available on the market today. Built with superior materials, this part has been designed to provide you with maximum reliability and performance.
Wilson Combat Bullet Proof ® extractors are crafted from premium alloy steel and then heat treated to ensure maximum durability. This allows them to maintain high tension for extended periods of time without any sign of chipping or breakage, making them the number one choice among professional gunsmiths. No other extractor on the market offers such superior quality and performance.
Our 1911 extractors make installation a breeze, as they only need minimal fitting for smooth and reliable operation. Even better, in some cases you can simply drop them into place without any final tightening needed! When used with our Wilson Combat firing pin stop, you will be able to get complete optimization of the extractor function on all types of 1911 pistols.

About S7 Tool Steel:
A Wilson exclusive, S7 is a shock resistant “non stainless” tool steel with excellent toughness and high strength, along with good wear resistance. It has maximum shock resistance and high compression strength, which gives it good deformation resistance in use, while retaining good toughness to resist chipping and breaking. Typical applications for S7 tool steel are punches, chisels, blanking dies, forming dies and concrete breakers.
Series 70 vs Series 80 1911 Extractors:
The difference between Series 70 and Series 80 extractors is a plunger retainer stud machined into the Series 80 extractor. This retainer stud holds the firing pin safety plunger that is visible next to the disconnector rail in place on Colt-style Series 80 slides. All extractors which are designed to work in a Series 80 1911 will also work in all Series 70 guns, however extractors designed for Series 70 guns lack the machined cut which allows the firing pin lock plunger to be installed and therefore can not be used in Series 80 guns. Kimber series II guns can use either a 70 series or 80 series. All Springfield Armory 1911 pistols are 70 series.
DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Tough
got this to replace the ed brown extractor i had on my gold cup, it fit perfectly in my slide with no overhang, no more filing, firing pin stop is a snug fit requiring minor pressure to install & remove which prevents clocking, i like it. made a makeshift extractor tuning tool from a small vice i have & got the tension right on my 2nd try.

Having Extractor Problems? Here Is The Cure!
I recently purchased the Wilson Combat Bulletproof extractor to the replace the less than impressive stock unit on my Springfield Armory Mil Spec, after a minor amount of tuning, it works wonderfully in my gun, not only does it offer more reliable extraction, it also fits a lot more snugly to the firing stop than the factory part.

Excellent Extractor
I’ve used these as well as the stainless version in both series 70 and 80. If you are having feeding or ejection problems, try one. This is an excellent part and I have not had any issues. Most of the time it is drop in with only a little tension adjustment required.

Exactly What I Needed
The stock extractor in my Fusion 1911 wouldnt reliably work. I put the WC Bulletproof extractor in and it ran flawlessly. Even after I tweaked the factory extractor, it wouldnt run correctly. After giving the factory part a second chance, I have tossed it and would only use a WC extractor from now on.

Ejection Problem Solved
Installed in my metro arms commander solved ejection problems work better than when new, always quality parts from wilsons!

Just What I Needed
I have a 4 SA 1911, it ran ok but always ejected a bit erratic due to extractor clocking, a new FPS fixed that, but ejection became extremely unreliable, adjusting the extractor would only work for about 5 rnds before it lost tension. Which lead me to purchase this Wilson, minor tweak to the tension and its been running flawless for 500 rnds.
