Wilson Combat

The Wilson Combat Bullet Proof extractor for the 80 series .45 ACP 1911 is the highest quality extractor available on the market today. Built with superior materials, this part has been designed to provide you with maximum reliability and performance.

Wilson Combat Bullet Proof ® extractors are crafted from premium alloy steel and then heat treated to ensure maximum durability. This allows them to maintain high tension for extended periods of time without any sign of chipping or breakage, making them the number one choice among professional gunsmiths. No other extractor on the market offers such superior quality and performance.

Our 1911 extractors make installation a breeze, as they only need minimal fitting for smooth and reliable operation. Even better, in some cases you can simply drop them into place without any final tightening needed! When used with our Wilson Combat firing pin stop, you will be able to get complete optimization of the extractor function on all types of 1911 pistols.

  • Caliber: .45 ACP
  • Fits: 80 series
  • Bullet Proof®
  • Blued

Information on the installation of extractors can be found here.

About S7 Tool Steel:

A Wilson exclusive, S7 is a shock resistant “non stainless” tool steel with excellent toughness and high strength, along with good wear resistance. It has maximum shock resistance and high compression strength, which gives it good deformation resistance in use, while retaining good toughness to resist chipping and breaking. Typical applications for S7 tool steel are punches, chisels, blanking dies, forming dies and concrete breakers.

Series 70 vs Series 80 1911 Extractors:

The difference between Series 70 and Series 80 extractors is a plunger retainer stud machined into the Series 80 extractor. This retainer stud holds the firing pin safety plunger that is visible next to the disconnector rail in place on Colt-style Series 80 slides. All extractors which are designed to work in a Series 80 1911 will also work in all Series 70 guns, however extractors designed for Series 70 guns lack the machined cut which allows the firing pin lock plunger to be installed and therefore can not be used in Series 80 guns. Kimber series II guns can use either a 70 series or 80 series. All Springfield Armory 1911 pistols are 70 series.

DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

    Perfect For Taurus Pt 1911

Posted by Don Barnett on Jan 5th 2023

I had extractor problems from day 1 with this gun. I should have sent it back to Taurus, but didn't, and then tried other extractors to no avail. This one dropped right in and no tensioning was required. Works perfectly.

    Good Stuff

Posted by Erik on Aug 30th 2012

I replaced the cheap internals: safety, sear, disco, slide release, mag release and extractor on my Colt 1991 with Wilson Bulletproof parts. After minor fitting, safety checks and live fire testing I now have a pistol that I can count on.

    Simple

Bought this part after the stock one on my taurus broke on the 3rd clip that I was firing. Dropped right in and been firing with no issues since.
