Wilson Combat

The Wilson Combat stainless Bullet Proof extractor for the 80 series .45 ACP 1911 is the highest quality extractor available on the market today. Built with superior materials, this part has been designed to provide you with maximum reliability and performance.

Wilson Combat Bullet Proof ® extractors are crafted from premium alloy steel and then heat treated to ensure maximum durability. This allows them to maintain high tension for extended periods of time without any sign of chipping or breakage, making them the number one choice among professional gunsmiths. No other extractor on the market offers such superior quality and performance.

Our 1911 extractors make installation a breeze, as they only need minimal fitting for smooth and reliable operation. Even better, in some cases you can simply drop them into place without any final tightening needed! When used with our Wilson Combat firing pin stop, you will be able to get complete optimization of the extractor function on all types of 1911 pistols.

  • Caliber: .45 ACP
  • Fits: 80 series
  • Bullet Proof®
  • Stainless steel
  • Fully Machined from PH 13-8 Stainless Steel tool steel with a tensile strength of 215,000 PSI
  • Hook location tolerances held to +/- .001"
  • Radiused corners for extended life and smooth feeding
  • Full diameter rear shaft holds tension longer over factory parts many times over
  • Heat treated to optimum hardness and cryogenically treated

Information on the installation of extractors can be found here.

PH 13-8 Stainless Steel:

13-8 Mo stainless is typically used for valve parts, fittings, cold-headed and machined fasteners, shafts, landing gear parts, pins, aircraft components, nuclear reactor components and petrochemical applications requiring resistance to stress-corrosion cracking. Generally, this alloy should be considered where high strength, toughness, corrosion resistance, and resistance to stress cracking are required in a steel. Tensile strength of 215,000 PSI

Series 70 vs Series 80 1911 Extractors:

The difference between Series 70 and Series 80 extractors is a plunger retainer stud machined into the Series 80 extractor. This retainer stud holds the firing pin safety plunger that is visible next to the disconnector rail in place on Colt-style Series 80 slides. All extractors which are designed to work in a Series 80 1911 will also work in all Series 70 guns, however extractors designed for Series 70 guns lack the machined cut which allows the firing pin lock plunger to be installed and therefore can not be used in Series 80 guns. Kimber series II guns can use either a 70 series or 80 series. All Springfield Armory 1911 pistols are 70 series.

DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Great replacement for a Taurus PT1911

Posted by Peter on Oct 31st 2023

Picked up a Taurus PT1911 used at a decent price and had a stovepipe on literally every mag for 200 rds. Found a link to a Wilson Combat extractor on a reddit thread and happy I followed it. The fit was a little tight during install but I've put another 100 rds through the pistol with the new extractor without a single failure. Well worth the cost to make the pistol reliable when the other option was to trade it in for a loss. Can't recommend highly enough.

    Thank You Wilson Combat!

Posted by Anonymous on Mar 12th 2023

Recently I purchased a Taurus PT1911AR. Most comments on the internet said a Taurus was junk and had problems with FTE. My budget is not unlimited so I bought the Taurus figuring it was just internet hype. Well, it was not internet hype... my first 300 rounds had an FTE ratio of 20/1. Talked to Taurus and they said most likely a faulty extractor and send it to Miami and they were happy to fix it. I was impatient decided to fix it myself! I ordered and installed the Wilson Combat Extractor. Fast shipping, perfect fit, no tuning or mods required. Since then and running over 1,500 rounds all types and qualities through the pistol, have had ZERO FTE. Regardless of the make of the 1911, if your 1911 is having any FTE issues, do yourself a favor and get a Wilson Combat Extractor and a few Wilson 47D mags... your 1911 will run smooth as silk!

    Perfect Fit

Posted by Robert Mckinney on Apr 8th 2021

Purchased this item for my Colt Double Eagle Series 90 Officers ACP after viewing the tutorial on the Wilson Combat Site. I was having feeding and ejection issues intermittently and narrowed it down to the ejector. I contacted Wilson Combat for compatible parts and they graciously e-mailed a list. The ejector dropped in perfectly and functions properly as well. With their magazines and parts I have greater confidence in my firearm and will continue to patronize Wilson Combat for my needs. Great Customer Service

Seems To Have Worked As Advertised

Posted by Patrick French on Jul 3rd 2017

I have a Combat Commander. It has a slight habit of jamming. I installed this ejector and the Wilson firing pin. Put about 75 rounds through the gun, using three different clips, and not a single jam. I would have expected at least one. So too early to tell for sure, but so far, seems to have solved a problem.

    Solved The Extraction Problem

Posted by Joe Reynolds on Jul 13th 2012

The ejected cases are finally thrown clear of my forehead from my Colt Defender. This is a problem no more. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars is because I had to buy jewelers files to file the bevel in the extractor slot.

    Solved Fte Problems

Posted by Robert Upegui on Dec 21st 2011

I installed this on my Kimber, it was a drop in install no fitting required. So far I have over 2000 rounds down range with not one FTE. I love it and I feel confident to have it in my carry sidearm.

Superior Product At A Reasonable Price

Posted by Robert H on Dec 5th 2010

I just wanted to offer my hand out in thanks. I just received and installed the 415,80S extractor into a Springfield 1911 A-1 GI model. I was having issues with the spent casings ejecting straight upwards and catching the port on the way out hard enough to dent the rims. This was bad for two reasons. One, the pistol would stovepipe constantly. Secondly, every ejected casing would come back down directly dead center on the top of my head. It’s hard to get off another clean shot when you’re always waiting for falling hot brass. The 80 Series Bullet Proof Extractor has alleviated this frustrating and potentially disastrous issue. Now the casings eject consistently out, back, and slightly upward to the right; landing straight out from my right shoulder. Nice!
